I could see he was lost. As if he had to "have the right answer," without really knowing how to go about it…
At home, he would say “I don’t know”.
At school, he did like the others: pretending that time didn't pass. And I was wondering: "How can I choose without closing doors for him too soon?"
The orientation assessment was a breath of fresh air.
He wasn't asked to choose right away. He was asked to understand himself. His interests. His strengths. His desires, however vague. And for the first time, he didn't feel left behind.
Today, he hasn't "made a clean break with his life." But he's moving forward. More serene. Less alone.

Questions about a skills assessment regarding your career path?
Who is a career guidance assessment for?
The orientation assessment concerns the young people aged 15 to 25, Middle school students (9th grade), high school students (10th, 11th, and 12th grades), students changing their academic path, and young professionals questioning their career. The goal is to choose their educational guidance, understand Parcoursup and develop his professional project.
When is the right time to conduct a career guidance assessment?
During key moments in your journey:
- choice of sectors, fields and internship locations (from 4th grade onwards)
- choice of specializations in the second year of high school
- Post-baccalaureate guidance (Final year of high school / Parcoursup)
- reorientation in higher education
- reorientation during the first years of activity
The earlier it is done, the more it avoids loss of meaning, motivation and the risk of workplace distress.
What concrete results were obtained at the end of the assessment?
You leave with:
• 1 to 3 realistic and achievable professional projects
• of the identified study pathways
• A clear action plan
• a better self-knowledge
And above all, more confidence and autonomy in your choices
Does the assessment guarantee finding one's path?
No. It's a process of introspection and maturation to be undertaken throughout one's life. However, it accelerates the process because it allows one to clarify, structure, and validate choices in order to move from "I don't know" to "I understand and I choose.".
What is the role of parents?
Parents, of course, play a key role in this process. They act as sponsors, supporting and encouraging their teen while giving them enough space to develop their autonomy and critical thinking skills. We offer an initial consultation, progress meetings, and a final debriefing. They are present without being overbearing. Their young adult remains an active participant in his own project.
