Which skills assessment should I choose?
A good outcome depends on what you are going through. : need for clarity, desire to go deeper, need to reflect in a group, coming out of a period of exhaustion, end of career, or orientation before or after the baccalaureate.
Career coaching last approximately three months and follow the three phases provided for by the Labour Code.

How much does a skills assessment cost?
And how can it be financed with the CPF?
At Aktasens, A skills assessment costs between €1,600 and €2,350 depending on the package. (€695 for My Compass).
With the CPF (Personal Training Account), and if your rights are sufficient, You still owe between €150 and €750, or nothing at all. in some cases.
The CPF rule in 2026:
- Since the end of February 2026, the CPF has been covering €1,600 maximum for a skills assessment.
- Since April 2, 2026, each use of the CPF entails a contribution of €150 remaining balance.
- You do not pay this fee if you are a job seeker, or if your CPF is funded by your company, France Travail or your OPCO.
- When the price exceeds the limit, the €150 participation fee is included in what you pay above €1,600. Therefore, you never pay both.

Amounts calculated for an employed person whose CPF balance covers the ceiling, without co-financing.
If your CPF balance is not enough, you can supplement it with other funding or your personal funds.
The CPF also does not finance a skills assessment if you have already had one financed. in the last 5 years.
- The registration deadline With the CPF, expect 20 working days between your registration on Mon Compte Formation and the start of your assessment.
- Your OPCO : If you are an employee, your company's skills operator may cover all or part of the assessment, according to its own funding rules.
- Your employer Your company can finance your balance sheet in full, or contribute to your CPF (Personal Training Account)., which exempts you from the €150. Your agreement remains mandatory, and the results of the assessment will only be transmitted to him with your agreement.
- France Travail and the CSP If you are a job seeker, France Travail can contribute to your CPF (Personal Training Account) or finance your skills assessment. If you are on a professional retraining contract (CSP), the assessment may be covered under this contract. Speak to your advisor about it.
- Your personal funds : You can finance your balance sheet yourself, either in full or to supplement other financing.
- The combinations Funding can be combined. For example, your CPF supplemented by your employer, or your CPF supplemented by your personal funds.
Where can I get a free skills assessment?
A skills assessment is never free in itself, but it can be free for you when a funder takes care of everything.
At Aktasens, this is the case for L'Équipage with the CPF if you are a job seeker or if your CPF is topped up, and for all our formulas when your employer, your OPCO or France Travail finances everything.

Who can register for a skills assessment?
Anyone who feels the need, whether employed or not: middle school students, high school students, university students, young professionals, private or public sector employees, job seekers, self-employed individuals, business owners, seniors, and those nearing retirement. In addition to career transitions, we support educational guidance with Ma Boussole and retirement planning. All our services are adapted or adaptable for people with disabilities.
How can I finance my skills assessment?
You can use your CPF (Personal Training Account), your OPCO (Skills Operator), your employer, France Travail (including the CSP - Professional Transition Contract), your personal funds, or a combination of these sources. What legislation governs skills assessments?
What the Labor Code tells us:
Article L6313-4:
The purpose of skills assessments mentioned in point 2 of Article L. 6313-1 is to enable workers to analyze their professional and personal skills as well as their aptitudes and motivations in order to define a professional project and, where appropriate, a training project.
This assessment can only be carried out with the employee's consent. An employee's refusal to consent does not constitute misconduct or grounds for dismissal.
The information requested from the beneficiary of the assessment must be directly and necessarily related to its purpose. The beneficiary is required to answer in good faith. They will receive the detailed results and a summary document. This summary document may be shared, upon request, with the professional development advisor mentioned in Article L. 6111-6. The detailed results and the summary document may not be shared with any other person or institution without the beneficiary's consent.
The persons responsible for preparing and holding the financial statements are subject to the provisions of Articles 226-13 and 226-14 of the Penal Code with regard to the information they hold in this capacity.
The duration of the skills assessment cannot exceed twenty-four hours per assessment.
Article R6313-4:
The skills assessment mentioned in point 2 of Article L. 6313-1 comprises, under the guidance of the service provider carrying out this assessment, the following three phases:
1. A preliminary phase whose purpose is:
a) To analyze the request and the need of the beneficiary; ;
b) To determine the format best suited to the situation and the need; ;
c) To jointly define the procedures for carrying out the assessment; ;
2° An investigation phase allowing the beneficiary either to build their professional project and verify its relevance, or to develop one or more alternatives; ;
3. A concluding phase which, through personalized interviews, allows the beneficiary to:
a) To familiarize oneself with the detailed results of the investigation phase; ;
b) To identify the conditions and means that promote the realization of the professional project(s); ;
c) To plan the main modalities and stages of the professional project(s), including the possibility of benefiting from a follow-up interview with the skills assessment provider.
What is the maximum amount of CPF funding available for a skills assessment?
€1,600. Since the end of February 2026, the CPF (Personal Training Account) has not funded more than €1,600 for a skills assessment, and a €150 contribution has been required since April 2, 2026, unless exempt. The remaining amount to be paid for each of our packages is detailed in the financing section.
Is a skills assessment really useful?
Yes. A career assessment helps you put words to who you are: what you like and dislike, your interests, motivations, skills, values, needs, and personality traits. This self-portrait, finally formulated, serves as the basis for finding a career path whose content and work environment suit your nature, while remaining realistic about the job market. You leave with structured ideas, a clear direction, and a concrete action plan. By 2025, 100 of our assessments had been completed, and our participants gave them a 4.56/5 rating six months later.
